Eating in Madrid
Madrid, together with Barcelona and Bilbao, are the best places to eat in Spain.
You can find all spanish cooking styles in Madrid, with high quality, but probably
expensive. 15 minutes walking from the conference site there are lots of restaurants,
here you have some examples:
- From Andalucía: "Cazorla Restaurante" (C/ Montesa,
30), "El Rincón de Jaen I" (C/ Don Ramón de
la Cruz, 88) and "El Rincón de Jaen II" (C/ Doctor
Gómez Ulla, 6). Instead of having a three-course meal, in this kind
of restaurants is usual to order a number of "tapas" and share them.
Suitable for lunch and dinner.
- From Madrid: "Don cocido" (C/Padilla, 54). Here you should try
the typical course "Cocido". Suitable for lunch.
- From Murcia and Levante: "La panocha" (C/Alonso Heredia, 4). Here
you can share some tapas and then try rices as "Arroz al Caldero"
or fish. Suitable for lunch and dinner.
- From Galicia: "Combarro"
(C/Ortega y Gasset, 40) High quality and expensive restaurant. Here you can
share some tapas and then try main courses as meat or fish.Suitable for lunch
and dinner.
If you are looking for fast food, 5 minutres walking there is "Rodilla"
(C/ Alcalá 142), a restaurant sepcialiced in sanwiches, and near the
workshop there is a "Burger King" (it doesn't need further
explanations).
Information about the workshop dinner will be announced closer to the workshop.
